The Beginning of a New Christmas Tradition at Reverie Studio

This year marked the first annual Reverie Studio Reindeer Mini Sessions, and it was pure holiday magic.Families arrived bundled in their coziest winter outfits, little ones buzzing with excitement, and a fresh blanket of snow from the night before setting the perfect scene for Christmas magic. Waiting to greet them were our two reindeer stars of the day — Candy Cane Jane & Cindy Lou Who.

Bringing reindeer into the experience wasn’t just a fun idea it was an intentional way to make Christmas mini sessions feel wonder-filled, truly memorable, and full of story. Something beyond a set, beyond props — an experience children will never forget.

Meet Candy Cane Jane & Cindy Lou Who

At only six months old during their debut sessions, these two were pure magic — curious, gentle, and impossibly adorable in their fluffy winter coats — thanks to the care and dedication of the owners at the Kenai Reindeer Farm.

Cindy Lou Who

The curious one.
Confident + curious, first to greet new friends.
She loves attention, has a HUGE personality, and may try to eat your hair if she loves you enough.
Every session she was right up front, ready for photos, snacks, and all the nose boops.

Candy Cane Jane

The observer.
Sweet + mild, a little more reserved but still friendly.
She likes to hang back and warm up slowly , but once she does, she’s an angel in front of the camera.
Her calm presence in the background was perfect for adding

Together, they made Christmas portraits feel real, whimsical, and storybook-worthy.

First Annual Reindeer Minis

This year’s setup featured:
🎄 Outdoor winter-inspired set.. nature even helped out and gave us a fresh blanket of snow the day before!

Children's faces absolutely *lit up* seeing real reindeer up close. Parents told me over and over:
“This is something they'll remember forever.”
And that’s exactly why this session was created , not just for photos, but for memory-making.

Already planning for year two…

Next year, Candy Cane Jane & Cindy Lou Who will be mostly grown with beautiful, fuller antlers, making the experience even more magical.
And guess what! I have exclusivity for with the Kenai Reindeer Farm for Reindeer Christmas Mini Sessions in this area, meaning this is a one-of-a-kind experience you won’t find anywhere else on the peninsula.
